Electrical conduit installation is one of the most consistent parts of our work. Since 2018 we have completed conduit and trenching packages for electrical contractors including NSF Electric, Ozlect, Defence Electrical and works at Holsworthy Army Base. Electrical contractors come back to us because the trench is where the drawing says it should be, at the depth it should be, and the job is documented properly.
Our trenching covers electrical and communications conduits, stormwater and sewer lines, water services, subsoil drainage and gas, as well as strip trenches and edge thickenings for slabs. We work on greenfield sites, in existing streets and inside operating facilities.
Every trench starts with service location. We use Before You Dig Australia information, potholing and service locators where needed, and we plan shoring or benching for deeper trenches before anyone steps in.
A trenching subcontractor electrical contractors rely on
Electrical contractors need a trenching partner who understands conduit spacing, cover depths, bedding, marker tape and inspection hold points. We plan the trench around your drawings and program, keep the trench open only as long as needed, and backfill once your conduits are inspected and signed off.
Footing and service trenches, VarrovilleTrenching on Defence and secured sites
Our work at Holsworthy has given us direct experience with Defence site inductions, permits to dig, escort requirements and reporting. We plan around those requirements from the start so the work is not held up at the gate.
Safety in and around trenches
Trenches are one of the highest-risk activities in civil construction. Our SWMS cover service strikes, collapse, falls and plant interaction, and deeper trenches are benched, battered or shored as required. Toolbox talks run daily and are updated as ground conditions change.
