Site Prep · Block Clearing

Site preparation from raw block to ready.

Clearing, de-grubbing, scraping, levelling and sediment control, all handled by one crew. We take a raw or demolished block and hand it over ready for the slab, the footings or the civil works.

Site preparation from raw block to ready.

The start of a build sets the tone for the rest of it. A properly prepared site has its vegetation and debris cleared, topsoil stripped and stockpiled, levels set, sediment controls installed, access stabilised and services located. A poorly prepared one costs time every day after that.

Civil Scope Earthworks delivers complete site preparation across Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool, Narellan and the Macarthur growth areas, as well as for builders working further afield. From clearing the block and de-grubbing, through scraping and stockpiling topsoil, to bulk cut and fill: whatever the design, we have it covered.

Because we also handle demolition, excavation and trenching, we can take a site from knockdown to a level, trenched and serviced pad without handing over between contractors.

Site preparation for new homes

In the Macarthur growth areas and established suburbs alike, we prepare blocks for builders and owner-builders: clearing, scraping, cutting the pad, installing sediment controls and setting up stabilised access. If the block needs a driveway crossover or service trenches, we can do those too.

Site preparation for commercial and civil projects

On larger sites we clear and strip ahead of bulk earthworks, set up laydown areas and haul roads, and install environmental controls to the Construction Environmental Management Plan. We provide documentation before mobilisation and keep it current as the site evolves.

Done with the environment in mind

We call ourselves environmentally conscious for a reason. Sediment controls go in first, topsoil is kept for reuse, and our team is trained in environmental and heritage risk management so that clearing work does not create problems downstream.

What's included

The core of what we deliver. Every job is quoted to the site, so tell us what you need and we'll tailor the scope.

Block clearing

Stripping topsoil and stockpiling it for reuse in landscaping.

Sediment & erosion control

Silt fences, stabilised entries and stockpile protection installed to council requirements.

Levelling & house pads

Cut and fill to set levels for house pads and building platforms.

Site cleanup

Clearing, cleaning and making safe sites before and between construction stages.

Our process

How the job runs.

Documented from the first site walk to handover, with SWMS, risk assessments and environmental controls in place before the machines start.

Step 1

We walk the site, review plans and identify trees, services and access constraints.

Step 2

Protect

Sediment controls, tree protection and stabilised entry installed first.

Step 3

Clear & strip

Vegetation cleared, stumps removed and topsoil stockpiled.

Step 4

Level & hand over

FAQs

Site Preparation & Block Clearing questions.

Can't see your question? Call 0432 506 741 and talk to someone who's done the work.

Do I need approval to clear my block?

Clearing that is part of an approved development is usually covered by the approval. Removing protected trees or clearing in environmentally sensitive areas can require separate council approval. We can help you check before work starts.

Can you prepare the site after demolition?

Yes. We regularly demolish, clear and prepare the same site in one continuous programme.

Do you install sediment fencing?

Yes. Sediment and erosion controls are installed to council and environmental plan requirements before major works start.

What do you do with topsoil?

Topsoil is stripped and stockpiled on site for reuse in landscaping where space allows, or removed if it cannot be kept.
