Quality outcomes, safely delivered.
An earthworks, excavation and demolition contractor built on decades of experience, rigorous safety systems and real care for the environment we work in.
Bored piers · VarrovilleBuilt on ASF Excavations.
Civil Scope Earthworks was developed from ASF Excavations. The name reflects an expanding business, a sound understanding of what clients need, and a reputation for reliability and performance.
We focus on delivering the highest quality industrial demolition, excavation and earthworks in NSW. Our project teams and operators are highly experienced, our subcontractor selection is rigorous, and we pride ourselves on outstanding customer service and results.
Clients from the ASF years, including St Sava College at Varroville and engineering firm Jacobs, valued the same things our clients do today: work delivered to programme and budget, quick mobilisation when needed, and quality and HSE documentation provided ahead of time.

The people on your job.
A small senior team that stays close to every project, backed by trained site managers, supervisors, operators and labourers.
Robert May
More than 30 years in construction, and still on site most days managing, supervising and operating. Clients regularly single out his skill in the seat and his organisation on difficult jobs.
Sejuti Paul
Seven years in engineering and construction across technical engineering, safety and quality. Keeps documentation, programmes and quality systems on track.
Anita Ryall
Twenty years in senior contracts administration. Keeps the business running behind the scenes, from contracts and compliance to client communication.
Zero serious injuries in ten years.
That record comes from a process. Our people, from site managers and foremen to operators and labourers, are empowered to analyse every site at the start. Here's how every job begins.
Site analysis
Every team member analyses the site's circumstances and conditions at the start of the project.
Team safety meeting
The whole crew contributes to the safety analysis.
Safety committee
A committee is appointed and the hierarchy of controls applied to each hazard.
Site safety walk
A thorough walk of the site, with controls put in place.
Inspect & audit
Controls are inspected and audited before work is assigned.
SWMS sign-off
SWMS and risk assessments are talked through with the crew and signed.
Commitment to Safety
Documents go to project managers and clients, then a final Commitment to Safety briefing.
Daily toolbox talks
Toolbox talks every day, with SWMS updated as conditions change.
Systems that protect people and place.
Civil Scope Earthworks is committed to a safe and healthy workplace, and to a safety culture where every person knows they're valued and understands their role in health and safety.
Our WHS management system sets out general health and safety rules, personnel responsibilities, and policies including first aid, drug and alcohol, and other WHS information for all employees and contractors.
Construction and Demolition Environmental Risk Management Plans are in place on all our projects and address each site's specific conditions. Every team member has a duty of care to prevent environmental harm, backed by regular environment and heritage training.
